Our housing is affordable and conveniently situated among local shops as well as nature. With all appliances included as well as a variety of amenities, you’ll be provided with quality living during your residence with us. Our Mission Statement

To provide decent, safe and sanitary housing. We also provide related services to prevent the premature transition to full-care facilities.

Our after-school tutoring program at the Whitney Reeves Barnard Learning Center aims to provide a safe place for children to come in the afternoons for activities and tutoring.


Our Residents

Most of our residents are low-income families and elderly and disabled individuals seeking a higher quality life and affordable housing. We ensure that our residents needs are met through state regulations and handicap accessibility features.

Pine Valley Center

Located on our grounds is our Pine Valley Center which is a great highlight of our community. Here, we have a meal service and kitchen where we serve lunch at noon Monday through Friday. We also bring meals to our residents.


Amenities

We offer an endless variety of amenities here at Magnolia Housing Authority. Beyond our tranquil scenery and meal services, we offer transportation to local shops (Walmart, Dr.'s Office, etc) as well as Title XX Service (performing daily chores).

A. Mission

The Magnolia Housing Authority is dedicated to excellence in providing quality, affordable, and safe housing to eligible persons consistent with community needs. We foster effective and creative partnerships to maximize opportunities that improve the economic and personal well-being of the people that we serve. Our agency conducts its business in an efficient, professional, and ethical manner without discrimination.

B. Programs

The Magnolia Housing Authority (MHA) is a public housing agency providing affordable housing opportunities for low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities in the City of Magnolia. The MHA was incorporated in 1972 by the State of Arkansas and currently has 180 HUD units and 50 FMHA units for a total of 230 units.

C. Location/Office Hours

Applications and intake interviews are processed centrally at the MHA Office. The Magnolia Office Center is located at 100 Meadowbrook Lane, Magnolia, Arkansas 71753, and is open to the public Monday through Thursday, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 AM. Office hours for walk-in traffic are 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon; 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Office hours for Call in are 8:00 to 12:00 noon; and 1:00 to 4:30 p.m

Public Notice is hereby given this 30th day of October, 2020, that the Housing Authority of the City of Magnolia, Arkansas, P O Box 488, Magnolia, AR 71754- 0488 has made application for funds through Section 49 U.S.C .5310 for the purchase of the following type of passenger transportation vehicle: 22’ Transit Conversion High Roof Extended Van w/o Rear Lift (12 pass). This vehicle will be used primarily for the following purposes: Transporting elderly and disabled adults residing in public housing. Purchase of the above vehicle is considered essential to the efficient operation of our organization in provision of public transportation series to seniors and individuals with disabilities. There is no intent to infringe upon or compete with, existing public or private transit operators, including Section 5307, urban public transit operators and Section 5311, rural public transit operators. Magnolia Housing Authority is requesting a vehicle that is not compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, However, Magnolia Housing Authority does meet the "equivalency of service" requirements to individuals with disabilities in the community. Any objection should be submitted in writing only to persons listed below. All comments will become a part of this organization's application and will be a matter of public record. All written comments must be submitted within 30 days of the date of this notice. Any person wishing to request a public hearing on the proposed project must submit a request in writing within 10 days of the date of this notice to the persons listed below.
